WAITLIST NOW OPEN!

Sound familiar?
You finished your training.
You took the leap into private practice.
And then... the sudden realisation that it's just you, figuring it all out by yourself.
No colleagues to bounce ideas off.
No team to debrief with after a heavy session.
No one to ask "am I charging the right amount?" or "is my website actually working?" without it feeling weird.
You love the work.
You're good at the work.
But some days it's hard not to think:
"Am I doing this right?"
"What am I missing?"
"Is there a better way of doing this that I'm not aware of?"
What if building your practice felt less like going it alone, and more like being plugged into an incredibly resourceful and supportive community?
Imagine logging on to a space where people actually get it.
Where you can ask the questions you'd never post in a public Facebook group. Where people celebrate your wins, help you think through your pricing, and also send the best therapy memes.
That’s Therapists' Forum.

What a typical month could look like

The schedule will evolve as the community grows, members have a say in shaping it. Voice rooms, channels and discussions are always open.

You're a licensed therapist, psychologist, counsellor, psychotherapist, art therapist, or other accredited mental health professional who is:
Just starting out in private practice and figuring things out as you go
Considering the leap into private work and wanting support before you jump
Already established in private practice but craving connection, community, and a space to keep growing
Passionate about the work but clear that it's not your entire personality
Done with going it alone and ready to be surrounded by people who get it
Warm, encouraging, and supportive of those around you
Curious and open-minded, and is ready to put what you’re learning into practice.

Probably not if...
You're looking for a rigid training programme, or a space that takes itself very seriously. We're professional, but we're also human. If you’re after something more formal, this might not be your vibe.
You’re mainly here to promote your work or find clients. We’re not opposed to celebrating wins or the occasional shameless plug, but if your focus is mostly on selling or self-promotion, it can get in the way of genuine connection.
You see others as competition rather than collaborators. We grow by sharing ideas and supporting each other, not gatekeeping or comparing ourselves negatively to others.

Starting my own private practice so soon after qualifying wasn't exactly the plan. But life had other ideas.
What followed was a lot of trial and error, and lots of late night Googling. Whilst I have been able to grow a thriving private practice, I did miss the kind of community you take for granted when working in a team. The casual conversations. The shared frustrations. The colleague who asks how you are and actually means it.
The irony is, as therapists we are good at helping our clients feel more connected but in private practice we can end up feeling quite isolated. The idea for Therapists' Forum came about because I wanted to meet more people like me, therapists who love what they do, who are building something on their own terms, and who know that they'd do it better with good people around them.
I'm not here to be a guru or tell you there's one right way to do this. We all have something to offer, and we all thrive more when we're not trying to figure everything out on our own.
If that resonates, I'd love to have you here.
Dr. Jennifer Mbanu, Clinical Psychologist & Founder of Therapists' Forum

We’re also currently in the process of curating a circle of partners who genuinely care about supporting therapists in private practice - from directories to wellbeing platforms to business tools and services. If your organisation shares our ethos and loves what we stand for, we would love to hear from you to discuss how we can work together.
If that's you, please send an email to hello@therapistsforum.com

You got into this work because you care.
Now let's make sure you're cared for too.
Private practice shouldn't mean going it alone. You deserve colleagues. You deserve support. You deserve a space where you can talk about the business side without it feeling awkward, celebrate your wins without feeling like you're showing off, and ask the questions you didn't know you were allowed to ask.
That's what Therapists' Forum is here to be.
