These terms govern your use of Therapists' Forum (the "Platform"), an online community for private practice therapists in the UK. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these terms. We may update them periodically; continued use means acceptance.
Eligibility & Account
You must be a qualified therapist (e.g. HCPC/BPS registered or equivalent) to join.
Provide accurate information during signup; you are responsible for keeping your account secure.
Accounts may be suspended for violations, with notice where possible.
User Conduct
Post content that is professional, ethical, and complies with UK laws (e.g. no client-identifiable info, defamation, or illegal advice).
Respect confidentiality: do not share others' posts outside the Platform without permission.
No commercial spam, self-promotion beyond designated areas, or solicitation of clients.
We expect adherence to ethical frameworks such as BACP/HCPC.
Content Ownership & Platform Role
You retain ownership of your posts but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and moderate them.
We are not a publisher: Therapists' Forum does not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for users’, facilitators and guest speakers’ content, advice, opinions, or resources shared. We act solely as a hosting platform.
You indemnify us against claims arising from your content (e.g. IP infringement, professional negligence).
Moderation & Termination
We moderate at our discretion (e.g. removing harmful/off-topic posts) but are not obliged to monitor everything.
Repeated violations can lead to account removal without refund.
You can delete your account anytime; content may be retained for legal reasons.
Fees & Payments
Subscriptions auto-renew; cancel via account settings.
No refunds for partial months. Fees may increase with 30 days' notice.
Liability
The Platform is provided "as is". We are not liable for interruptions, data loss, or indirect damages.
We cannot be held liable for decisions or actions based on forum discussions (e.g. business/clinical choices).
Privacy & Data
We process data per our Privacy Policy (link). UK GDPR compliant.
Posts are visible to members only; we do not share with third parties except as required by law.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by English law.
